Amazingly enough, it is Google’s 10th birthday. As a gift for us, they have enabled for you to search back in the archives of 2001! This feature not only allows you to search what existed back them, but you can view what the website looked back them, in comparison to what it looks like now…
Now lets think back to 2001…
1. No Adobe/Macromedia Flash
2. No PNG
3. Bad designs
4. No YouTube, Facebook, MySpace, Xbox 360, PS3, Plasma TV, Fergie, etc.
This was very interesting and entertaining to me, because since we have new browsers, some sites don’t look to good. I also found it fun to look at big companies such as Apple and look at their old site designs. Here are some screenshots I found (click on them to maximize them):
[Get an invite to Lockerz by clicking here (powered by Gray's Blog, not a scam). What is Lockerz? Lockerz is a website where you earn points (or PTZ) for logging in, answering their daily question, and inviting your friends. With these PTZ you can buy all sorts of things ranging from a computer wallpaper to an Xbox 360, PS3, or an HDTV. Lockerz is a legitimate website run by the ex-Vice President of Amazon. Lockerz has millions and millions of members. The only way to join Lockerz is by an invite as their system would fail if you could just join with ease (because so many people would). Again, for an invite, please click here. You should receive your invite within 24 hours (sometimes within the hour).]
