One thing, that you most likely have already thought about, would be our idle doings. A basic and simple definition of what I mean would be doings something without noticing. For instance, sometimes you may find yourself reading a book or something of that matter and you drift into another thought, and you have realized that you have not only stared at 600 words, but you have read 3 pages without recognizing or acknowledging what you have even read! You then began to understand you have wasted minutes of your life that you will never have back, and you will flunk you test tomorrow. Some of our idle doings are dangerous or not helpful such as the previous, or driving while thinking about something else. For example, you get in the car, and start to drive home, and you start thinking about that fine leather couch that you saw at Bed Bath & Beyond and try to remember what the pricing is, and then you find yourself thinking about a new arrangement for your room and before you know it, your pulling into the driveway or over somebody’s car.
However, those are dangerous idle doings. There are safer ones to like:
Humming a song while doing something
Snacking while studying
Make up a catchy tune in your head while doing math
I guess it is just a function of the brain, like when you imagine something you see it, but when you focus hard enough it vanishes out of site. Like SpongeBob. Just then, you had a picture of SpongeBob appear in your head, or something relative to it. It isn’t actually there, but you still see it?
These are just a few hard questions that most likely could be found on Ask.com
