Hello! My name is Gray Adams and I am a self-taught web-developer. I work mostly in WordPress, CSS, and PHP and enjoy blogging. I have two YouTube accounts one dedicated to tutorials while the other comedy. If you find my posts at all interesting and you want to know when a new one comes out, feel free to subscribe via RSS or Email.

I was starting my message for my friends VoiceMail. “To page this person, press—” I went on ahead and pressed ’1′, which incase you may have not of known, skips that whole information stuff. I leave my message “after the tone” and press ’1′ at the end of my message, to finish my message (or end the recording). Now, I feel bored enough to listen to my message, so then I press ’2′. Now, what would normally be a speaker phone button on my LG Shine, happened to be the call button—wait, let’s rewind and review: I have so far dialed: 112— so I end up calling 112.

A little note appears above the numbers ’112′: “Emergency Service Call”.

I press cancel almost immediately, thinking the call hasn’t reached them.

…3 seconds later

*ring*…*ring*…*ring*

I hesitantly pick up…NOTE: the number was not: 911 or 112, but something like ###-###-####

So, I here a woman’s voice speaking a fairly fast pace: Hello, this is 911, we have just received a call from this number.

Of course, I am a state of shock, and let’s not forget: fear.

Eventually, I reply: I am sorry, I was trying to leave a voicemail and I just—

It’s okay sir, goodbye.

Goodbye.

I know it doesn’t sound like much but trust me, when you get a call from 911 in a non-emergency, you are freaking scared!
