I tied clearing cookies etc and no joy. In the end i turned off each plugin one by one until it fixed it. The plugin that was causing my issues was the "upgrade automatically" plugin. As soon as i turned it off.... my problem was fixed.

It was only happening in firefox mind you ;)

All fixed so i'm happy.

Cheers for the tips.

Paul,
This could be that the other browsers have absorbed more of the content on your site than FireFox making the website's load speed 'increase'. Try clearing your cookies, history, etc. on your browsers and then view the site.

Same issues here at www.mountainbikingnewzealand.co.nz

Odd thing is that it happens using Firefox- but Safari and all other browsers are ok. Very odd indeed.

I just installed Wordpress 2.7 and noticed that the admin pages are very slow. The rest of it seems to be OK. Just the admin stuff is dreadfully slow. I have used Wordpress in the past and it was always respectable when it came to speed. My understanding is that version 2.7 focuses mainly on administrative improvements. I agree that the admin panel is better than previous versions, but the significantly slower speed hardly makes this much of an improvement. Hopefully, it will get faster as it is updated. Which, given that I just installed 2.7 tonight, should be in a few days (kind of like how it rains when you wash your car.)
